Image Resizer – Resize, Convert & Optimize by UnifyBrowse

Description

Resize, convert and compress images locally. Target sizes, focal-point crop, multi-preset packs, profiles. No uploads. No tracking. Image Resizer is a focused, privacy-first image tool that runs entirely on your device. Resize, convert, and compress images directly in your browser using the native OffscreenCanvas API. The extension requests no host permissions and never connects to the network — your images never leave your device. ## What’s New in Version 0.3 ### Focal-point crop Choose exactly which part of an image stays visible when cropping to a tighter aspect ratio. A 9-point anchor system keeps faces, products, and key subjects in frame, with a live preview that updates instantly. ### Target file size Set a target like “≤ 200 KB” and the app automatically adjusts JPG or WebP quality to stay within that limit. Useful for marketplace upload caps, email attachments, and PageSpeed image budgets. Includes quick-select presets and custom size input. ### Multi-preset export packs Export multiple formats at once. Turn a single image into Instagram Square, Story, Portrait, and Reel Cover versions in one ZIP file. Bulk exports work the same way — for example, 10 images × 5 presets becomes 50 organized exports grouped by source image. ### Saved profiles Save complete processing setups — dimensions, format, quality, resize mode, focal anchor, letterbox color, filename prefix, and export packs — as reusable profiles. Apply them with one click. When settings change, the profile is marked as modified until updated. ### Paste from clipboard Press ⌘V or Ctrl+V to paste copied images directly into the app. URL import is intentionally not supported, since fetching external images would require host permissions and weaken the privacy model. ## Core Features * 22 built-in presets for Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, YouTube, WhatsApp, HD, 4K, icons, and more * Stretch, Fit, and Crop resize modes * JPG, PNG, and WebP conversion with adjustable quality * Bulk processing with progress tracking, previews, and ZIP export * Right-click any web image and choose “Resize this image” to open it directly * Light and dark themes ## What We Didn’t Ship — And Won’t No background removal. No filters. No watermarks. No cloud sync. No URL fetching. These features either compromise privacy or turn the app into something it’s not. Image Resizer is built to do one job well — and stay focused. Image Resizer is part of the UnifyBrowse suite: simple tools that solve one problem cleanly. Free for everyone.
