Clip pages into Smritsavant and summarize them on your device. Smritsavant Clipper saves what you are reading into Smritsavant, the notes app running on your own machine. Click the button and choose what to keep: the article, cleaned up and readable; just the part you have highlighted; or only the title and link. Whatever you pick, you see it before it is saved — the title and the text are yours to edit, and you choose which canvas it lands on. Pictures come with it. They are downloaded and stored alongside the note, so the note still works when the page changes or disappears, and so your notes app can describe them and make them searchable. Videos are kept as cards you can open, not as trackers that load when you read. If you have a local model set up, Smritsavant writes a short summary of the clip on your device while you carry on. Nothing is sent anywhere. There is no account, no server and no analytics in this extension. It has no permission to read any site on its own: it can only read the page you are looking at, at the moment you click, and it hands what it read straight to the Smritsavant app on your computer over a local connection. If the app is not running, nothing is captured at all. Requires the Smritsavant desktop app. Open it once so the extension can find it.
