Description
NetSuite consultant toolbar: batch delete, record summary, script manager, SuiteQL, form tools, finder and demo data-blur. Netsuite for Consultants adds a docked toolbar inside your NetSuite account that puts the tools you use all day one click away — no SuiteApp, no setup, and nothing ever leaves your browser. Every tool docks to a screen edge (left, right, top or bottom) and reserves its own space, so it works alongside the NetSuite page instead of covering it — and it remembers where you left it. 📋 Record Summary See the schema of the record you're on at a glance. Browse every field and sublist with its label, ID, type, and where it lives (tab / subtab / group). Filter by label, ID or type, or jump to fields, sublists, or custom-only with one tap. Expand a dropdown field to see all of its values and copy them as JSON — even in view mode, where the options are pulled from the record's own edit form behind the scenes. A sticky header keeps the current tab / field group / sublist in view while you scroll. Click any field, sublist, or column and the tool opens the right tab/subtab, scrolls to it, and spotlights it on the page — "Here is the field." 🖱️ Field Actions — right-click any field Right-click a field on any record — viewing, editing or creating — and a small panel opens beside it with the field highlighted, so you always know which one you have. It shows the field's internal ID, its type and its current value, each ready to copy with a click. From the same panel you can unlock a greyed-out field, make a field required, or change its value — on the form in front of you, or straight to the saved record when you're only viewing it, behind a confirmation that names the record first. Dropdowns list every option they accept, filterable, and copy out as JSON in the same format Record Summary uses. Date fields open a calendar with month and year pickers, and NetSuite converts what you pick, so the account's own date format and time zone decide the result instead of your computer's. Sublists work the same way: right-click a cell to work on that line, or a column heading to ask about the field itself. If a field is greyed out and swallows the click, right-click its label instead. Everything runs through NetSuite's own record APIs with your permissions, so a value you type into a field you just unlocked is a value that saves. Available on the Administrator role. It replaces the browser's right-click menu on fields only — everywhere else on the page is untouched, Shift + right-click always brings the browser's own menu back, and Settings can turn it off completely or just for a while (an hour, a day, a week). 🗑 Batch Actions — Delete Records Delete every record a search returns, without clicking through them one at a time. Start from a saved search the account already has, or pick a record type and the columns you want to see — that search is built for the run and never saved to your account. Either way you review the results before anything happens: paged straight from the server so a 40,000-row search opens instantly, with frozen first columns, a sticky header, and sorting on the search picker. Tick rows, shift-click a range, or select every result across every page. The confirmation tells you how many records and which record types. Then it runs a record at a time, so the progress bar moves and Stop takes effect immediately, refreshing its own offscreen runtime whenever NetSuite's governance runs out. When it finishes you get a count and a line per record that was NOT deleted, carrying NetSuite's own reason — including the links in it, so "referenced by Invoice #123" is a link you can follow. It knows a transaction search returns one row per line, so several rows sharing an internal ID delete that record once instead of reporting invented failures. Every delete runs as you, with your permissions: anything your role could not delete by hand fails and is listed. 🗂 Script Manager Find any script in the account and see its deployments beside it — filter by script type, or by text across the script name, script ID, deployment ID and file name. Then group the deployments you need to act on together: a group saves each deployment's Deployed state, Status and Log level exactly as they are when you create it. Undeploy the whole group for a data load, set a status or log level across it, or give each deployment its own target and apply them in one go. When you're done, one click rolls every deployment back to the state it was in before the group touched it. Groups export to a JSON file and import into another account, checking first that every deployment actually exists there. 🧠 Scripts & Workflows (inside Record Summary) Flip to the Scripts & Workflows tab to see everything automating the record you're on: client scripts, user event scripts, workflow action scripts, GL impact plugins, and the workflows applied to the record — each with its status and a one-click link straight to its script or workflow setup page. ⚡ SuiteQL Console Write and run SuiteQL right inside NetSuite, with autocomplete/intellisense (Ctrl+Space) powered by the Records Catalog and normal Tab indentation. View results in a clean, sortable table, show/hide columns, page through large result sets, copy or export to CSV, and save your favorite queries for reuse. It runs through NetSuite's own N/query engine using your existing permissions. 🔎 Finder — jump to anything in seconds Search and open, in one place: • Scripts • Custom Record Types • Custom Fields (body, column, entity, item, CRM and more) • Transaction Forms & Entry Forms • Advanced PDF/HTML Templates • Workflows • File Cabinet files — with the containing folder and a SuiteBundle-availability filter Choose how each search matches — contains, starts with, or ends with — and page through large result sets. Start typing and the Finder takes you straight to the right setup page. 🕵️ Detective — Server Logs + Field Scanner Two investigators in one panel: • Server Log Search — search the entire Script Execution Log across every script at once by text, type (error / system / audit…) and time window. Results are grouped by script with an error count and a one-click link to each entry, so you can track down that one "UNEXPECTED_ERROR" in seconds instead of paging the log. • Field Scanner — pick a field (and optionally a record type) and it finds every script that sets it. It reads the actual script and module source and tells you whether each one sets the field directly, through a mapping/config, or inside a shared custom module — with a live progress bar, ETA, and a link to each script. The honest answer to "what's writing this field?" 🧾 JSON Viewer — read any JSON the easy way Right-click any JSON on the page — a server-log detail, an API response, a field value, or just a text selection — and open it in a clean, collapsible tree. Search keys and values, expand or collapse everything, copy any node, and even expand JSON that's embedded inside a string (like a SuiteScript error's stack or cause). Works on NetSuite pages and inside the extension's own results. 🧩 Form Customization helper Reorder form lines and manage columns on customization screens without the tedious one-at-a-time clicking. Select several lines and move them by Position/Target, or just drag and drop them into place. It follows along as you switch NetSuite tabs and subtabs. 🧰 Toolkit — the tools that only make sense on certain pages Gathered under one wrench icon, each listed with a line saying where it works, so a tool you cannot use today still tells you what it is for: • Copy data from another record — on a new or copied record, pull values across from an existing one before you save, choosing which fields come over. • Print / View PDF — render the record you are on through any Advanced PDF/HTML template, without changing the form's own print setup (administrators only). 🛡️ Protect Data — blur sensitive info for demos & recordings Presenting or recording your screen? Turn on Protect Data to instantly blur the sensitive parts of the page — logos, the logged-in user and account, customer and vendor names, emails, phones, addresses, amounts, item names, and document/file previews. Toggle each category on or off, right-click anything to protect (or un-protect) it — including a whole list column at once — and it stays applied across refreshes and navigation so nothing slips through. It's a visual overlay for screen sharing, not a redaction of exported files. 🛠️ Built for the way consultants work • A docked rail that pushes the page — snap it left, right, top or bottom (toggle with Ctrl+Shift+Y) • One switcher to hop between Record Summary, SuiteQL, Form Customization, Finder and Detective • Minimize tools to keep working, restore with one click • Works on any NetSuite account you're logged into ⚙️ Settings and a how-to guide for every tool Right-click the extension's icon in Chrome's toolbar and choose **Options** (or open chrome://extensions → Netsuite for Consultants → Details → Extension options). That page holds your settings — toolbar behaviour, keyboard shortcuts and the first-field selector — plus a short illustrated guide for each tool: what it is for, where it works, and the steps to use it, showing the real icons and button labels. 🔒 Private by design Everything runs locally in your browser. Saved queries and preferences are stored on your device — the extension collects no data and sends nothing to third parties. Made for NetSuite consultants, administrators, and developers.
