Turn audible browser tabs into a live mixer with channel processing, crossfades, ducking, scenes, and MIDI control. Tabphonic treats user-selected browser tabs as independent audio channels. Start audio on a normal web page, click the Tabphonic toolbar button, and the tab appears as a channel strip in Chrome's side panel. Its captured sound is immediately routed back to the system through a local Web Audio graph, allowing Tabphonic to shape and combine multiple tabs without recording or uploading their audio. Every channel includes a fader, stereo pan, low-, mid-, and high-frequency EQ, mute, solo, duck, voice designation, A/B crossfade bank assignment, a live level meter, removal control, and optional playback-rate control for accessible HTML audio and video elements. The master section provides output level, equal-power A/B crossfade, scene storage, playhead synchronization, and an emergency Stop All control. Voice and Duck create a simple sidechain system. A chosen voice channel drives a local level detector; channels with Duck enabled are smoothly reduced while that source is active and recover afterward. Meter and duck calculations occur in a dedicated offscreen audio document. The side panel receives small numeric meter updates and paints existing meter bars without rebuilding the channel interface on every frame. Scene Memory stores mix parameters rather than audio. A scene includes channel identifiers and source metadata, faders, pan, EQ, mute, solo, duck, bank assignment, master level, and crossfade position. Recalling a scene applies settings only to source tabs that are currently connected. MIDI mode maps controller CC 1–8 to the first eight channel faders, CC 9 to master, and CC 10 to the crossfader after the user grants browser MIDI access. Tabphonic uses no analytics, advertising, remote code, cloud processing, transcription, or audio recording. Audio samples remain inside Chrome's Web Audio pipeline and are discarded continuously after playback and meter calculation.
