Tame YouTube: original titles & audio, block channels & keywords, one-flick Shorts scroll, keyboard shortcuts, and more. TameTube tames YouTube and hands control back to you. It's lightweight, private, and runs only on youtube.com. FEATURES • Shorts playback fixes — disables the endless loop, stops background-audio bleed when you scroll, and auto-advances to the next Short when one ends. • One flick, one Short — normalizes the mouse wheel on Shorts so free-spinning wheels (Logitech MX Master and similar) advance exactly one Short per flick, instead of overshooting or bouncing back. • Shorts keyboard shortcuts — press L to like, D to dislike, S to subscribe. They never fire while you're typing a comment or in search. • Shorts controls — an easier-to-grab progress scrubber, and a per-Short loop toggle. • Content filter — hide videos by channel or by title keyword/regex, filtered out of your home feed, search, and watch sidebar before they render (no flicker). Manage your blocklist from the options page. • One-click block — hover any video card for a "block channel" button. On the Shorts player, block the channel and fire YouTube's real "Don't recommend this channel." • Original audio & titles — automatically restore the creator's original audio track (disabling auto-dubbing) and the original video title on the watch page, instead of YouTube's machine translation. • Rotate video — rotate the player −90° with a button (resets on the next video), on both watch pages and Shorts. PRIVACY TameTube collects, transmits, and sells NO data. Your blocklist and preferences are stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage). It requests only the "storage" permission and runs solely on youtube.com. No accounts, no tracking, no remote code. HOW IT WORKS TameTube filters YouTube's own feed data before it renders and adjusts the player directly on the page. Everything is bundled with the extension — nothing is loaded from a remote server.
