When you open a link in a new tab, then another, then another, it's easy to lose track of where you started. Backtrace quietly records how each tab was opened — which tab it came from — and builds that history into a simple, numbered trail. Open the Backtrace popup on any tab to see the full lineage, and click any entry to return to that tab instantly. Backtrace does not read your full Chrome browsing history, does not access pages visited before installation, does not collect page contents or form inputs, and does not send tab-trail data to us or third parties.
