Turn a selection or readable page body into Markdown locally, then download it or edit it in MD.SAVE. Select useful text on a webpage, then send it straight to Markdown. MD.SAVE Quick Send offers four focused actions: - Download the current selection as a UTF-8 `.md` file. - Open the converted selection in MD.SAVE for preview and editing. - Open the readable body of the current page directly in MD.SAVE reading mode, with a clear return path to editing. - Download the readable body of the current page as a UTF-8 `.md` file. Use the selection-only right-click menu, the toolbar popup, or `Alt+Shift+M`. Headings, links, lists, tables, emphasis, and code are converted to practical GitHub Flavored Markdown when the page structure is available. The page-body actions are deliberately separate from the selection actions. Raw Markdown pages are preserved. Rendered pages are reconstructed from their readable structure while common navigation, ads, cookie notices, sidebars, forms, and sharing controls are removed on a best-effort basis. Ordinary copy and paste on the MD.SAVE website depends on the structured HTML supplied by the source clipboard. Quick Send reads the explicitly requested selection or page body directly from the current tab, making webpage structure more reliable when ordinary paste provides only plain text. The toolbar popup displays the shortcut currently assigned by Chrome. On macOS the default is shown as `⌥⇧M`; on other platforms it is `Alt+Shift+M`. If Chrome could not assign the suggested shortcut because of a conflict, the popup says that it is unassigned instead of showing an incorrect key. In development version `0.2.6`, the popup shows output size and heading, table, and link counts only after the user runs an action. Opening the popup alone does not read the page. The summary contains no source snippet, page URL, file name, or link destination. The popup uses a compact single-column layout with side-by-side selection and page-body actions, single-line peer labels, and a combined utility row. Its header can open the official MD.SAVE editor without requiring or reading a selection. Privacy is built into the flow. Conversion happens inside Chrome.
