Description

Replaces the new tab with a local-first dashboard: bookmarks, notes, tasks, focus timer, optional Drive sync. Nestpane is a Chrome new-tab-replacement extension. Users may optionally enable cloud sync of their local dashboard data (bookmarks, notes, tasks) to their own Google Drive. The app requests the drive.appdata scope specifically because it is the most restrictive Drive scope available — it grants access only to a single hidden, application-specific folder that is invisible in the user's normal Drive UI and inaccessible to any other application. The app cannot see, list, or modify any other file in the user's Drive. This scope is used exclusively to read and write one backup file per user, only when the user explicitly enables sync in Settings.
