Watch and validate every event your site sends to the ChatGPT Ads measurement pixel. ChatGPT Ads Pixel Debugger shows you exactly what your site is reporting to the ChatGPT Ads measurement pixel — as it happens, in a side panel that sits next to the page you are testing. Measurement pixels fail quietly. The request returns 200, nothing appears broken, and the problem only surfaces weeks later as conversions that never got attributed. This extension makes that failure visible immediately. WHAT IT DOES • Captures every request to the ChatGPT Ads endpoints and decodes it back into the event name, payload, amount and attribution it actually carried. • Shows browser pixel events and Conversions API events in one timeline, so you can confirm both halves of a purchase arrived and share an event id. • Validates each payload against the published event taxonomy and tells you what to change, not just that something is wrong. • Reports the page context that attribution depends on: whether the pixel SDK loaded, which pixel id fired, and whether the click reference cookie is present. • Filters to problems or to purchases when the log gets long. WHAT IT CHECKS • Amounts sent as decimals instead of ISO 4217 minor units — the single most common cause of misreported revenue. 129.99 USD must be sent as 12999. • Zero-decimal and three-decimal currencies, which use a different exponent from the usual two. • An amount with no currency alongside it. • Event data whose type does not match the event being sent. • Conversions API-only fields sent from the browser pixel, where they are silently dropped. • Custom event names that collide with a built-in event, or fall outside the allowed character set and length. • Missing event ids, which is what lets a browser event and its server twin be counted once instead of twice. WHO IT IS FOR Anyone instrumenting ChatGPT Ads conversion tracking: developers adding the pixel, agencies auditing a client's setup, and analytics engineers checking that server-side events line up with browser ones. PRIVACY Everything happens locally in your browser. The extension reads the requests your own pages make to the ChatGPT Ads endpoints, decodes them for display, and keeps them in memory for the tab you are looking at. No data is collected, stored on disk, or sent anywhere — there is no backend and no analytics of any kind. SETUP 1. Install the extension. 2. Open chrome://extensions, find Pixel Debugger, and set Site access to "On all sites". Request capture cannot work without it. 3. Click the toolbar icon to open the side panel, then reload the page you want to inspect. The panel tells you whether requests are being seen at all, so a genuinely empty log is easy to tell apart from a setup problem. This extension is an independent developer tool.
