Clean image metadata locally and open YouTube or TikTok metadata tools from your browser. Metaless Image Privacy Cleaner helps you check images for common privacy metadata before sharing them. Select or drop an image into the extension to: • Check for common GPS, device, timestamp, and software metadata • Review the image dimensions and file size • Create and download a cleaner copy • Process the image locally in your browser Selected images are processed inside the extension. They are not uploaded to Metaless or another service. The extension also provides direct access to Metaless video metadata tools: • YouTube Metadata Viewer: review available titles, channels, tags, duration, thumbnails, and public statistics • TikTok Metadata Viewer: review available titles, creators, thumbnails, and video links When you choose “Use current tab URL,” the extension reads only the active tab URL to recognize a supported YouTube or TikTok video page. It does not read the page content, browsing history, cookies, account information, or video contents. If a supported video is detected, you can open the matching Metaless web tool with the confirmed URL prefilled. The website opens only after you click the button. Privacy and security: • No image uploads from the extension • No browsing history access • No webpage content access • No analytics or advertising SDKs • No remote JavaScript • No background tracking • No account required for the extension’s local image tool The activeTab permission is used only after you open the extension and request current-video detection.
