Detects broken Shopify storefront and admin tracking loaders. Monitoring tool — not certification or legal advice. PixelProof is a Shopify tracking monitor for the storefront tab you have open and, when you open admin in this browser, for admin pages you already loaded. It is a monitoring tool. It is not a certification, not a Shopify App Store listing, and not legal advice. On August 26, 2026, Shopify removed checkout.liquid and Additional Scripts for every non-Plus store. Scripts that still depended on those surfaces stopped firing. Meta marketing API versions also sunset on a rolling schedule. PixelProof does not undo those dates. It tells you what loaders it can see now. WHAT IT DOES • Scans the Shopify storefront tab you have open, and (only with your permission, on admin.shopify.com pages you already opened) admin-adjacent tracking configuration visible in that session. • Flags common storefront tracking and marketing loaders the rule set can observe on the page. • Paid tiers may link a finding to a paste-ready Web Pixels snippet from a deterministic library — never raw script injection, never auto-install. • Optionally re-checks monitored storefronts about every 6 hours so a later theme or loader change can show up without you re-running the scan. WHAT IT DOESN'T DO • No AI/LLM ever touches your store's data. Every finding comes from a deterministic, auditable rule set — same rules in, same findings out. • Never scrapes your customers' data, orders, or cart contents. The extension reads script tags and a handful of tracking signals — nothing else. • Never auto-fixes your checkout. You always see the exact snippet before you install it. • Does not certify GDPR/CCPA consent, does not prove Purchase events fire, and does not replace a real test order in your ad platform's debugger. PERMISSIONS, EXPLAINED • Host access to *.myshopify.com, admin.shopify.com, and pixeluptime.com (the PixelProof API + rules host). No <all_urls>. • "storage" — saves your scan results and settings locally. • "activeTab" — lets you trigger a scan on the store tab you're already viewing (user click on the extension icon). The content script is declared statically in the manifest; we do not inject scripts at runtime and do not request the "scripting" permission. • "alarms" — schedules the optional 6-hour storefront re-check. We do NOT request the "scripting", "webRequest", or "tabs" (full) permissions, and we do not request broad host access (<all_urls>). PixelProof is a compliance monitoring service, not a certification or legal advice service. Monitoring cannot guarantee 100% detection of every pixel breakage or API deprecation. Merchants remain responsible for their own tracking compliance. PixelProof is not affiliated with Meta, Google, or Shopify. Built by Andy Gaber, Digital Empire Holdings LLC.
