Each palette coordinates page surfaces, video titles, secondary text, links, buttons, menus, comments, live chat, the player scrubber, and the YouTube logo — as one set, not one colour at a time. WHAT YOU GET • 18 palettes, each with its own title colour, so titles read as titles instead of as body text. • A picker with search, Dark/Light filters, and a live preview of the palette on a sample video row. • Star your favourites to keep them at the top of the gallery. • Custom colours: adjust titles, primary text, secondary text, and links for any palette. Each palette keeps its own saved colours. • Built-in contrast checks reject custom colours that would be hard to read against the palette's tested backgrounds. • Alt+Shift+Y toggles tint. off and back to your last palette. READABLE BY CONSTRUCTION Every palette is checked before it ships: video titles clear 7:1 contrast against every surface they appear on, and secondary text clears 4.5:1. A palette that would strand text fails the build instead of reaching you. WHAT IT LEAVES ALONE Thumbnails, video, channel art, and captions keep their original colours. Player chrome keeps its fixed light-on-dark pairing, because it sits over arbitrary footage. SCOPE Built for desktop youtube.com. YouTube Music, YouTube Studio, and Premium marketing pages are excluded. YouTube changes its interface regularly, so some components or A/B experiments may keep their original styling. PRIVACY No ads, no analytics, no developer-operated servers, no remote code. The extension does not send browsing history, page content, or personal data anywhere.
