AI-powered prompt reformatter for your favorite AI websites. Reform — AI‑Powered Prompt Reformatter Transform your AI conversations into masterpieces of clarity, precision and structure. Reform is a productivity tool designed for power users of AI chat services. By intelligently rewriting your prompts, it helps you get better answers, faster, from your favorite AI assistants. Why Reform? Modern AI models are incredibly powerful, but they’re only as good as the instructions you give them. A poorly structured or overly lengthy prompt can lead to vague, hallucinated or off‑target responses. Reform solves this by analyzing the text you’ve written and generating a polished version in the style you choose. It does this in real time, directly in your browser, via a simple button that sits unobtrusively beside the text box. When you click the icon, Reform sends your prompt to a secure AI service to be reformatted and then replaces your original text with the improved version—no extra steps required. This tool is perfect for anyone who relies on AI for research, brainstorming, writing assistance, coding help, summarization or general Q&A. It saves you time, reduces frustration and helps you extract the best possible output from AI models. Reform is also privacy‑friendly: all of the detection and UI logic runs locally, and your text is never stored or logged developer.chrome.com . Key Features • Smart Prompt Analysis. Reform detects when you’re writing a question, instruction or task in supported AI chat boxes. It looks for length, structure and keywords to understand what you’re trying to achieve, then offers a reformatted version tailored to your goal. • Multi‑Mode Reformatting. Choose from several sophisticated modes designed for different tasks. Each mode adds specific structure and context so the AI understands your intent: Normal Mode – Ideal for everyday questions and requests. It reformats your prompt using best practices: clearly distinguishes what the AI should do, specifies the desired output format, includes context if needed, and politely asks for the answer. The result is a neat, easy‑to‑understand instruction that increases the likelihood of a correct, thorough response. Humility Mode – Perfect for research, fact‑checking or technical topics where accuracy matters. Reform rewrites your prompt to encourage the AI to answer cautiously, cite sources when possible, and flag uncertain information. It asks the model to phrase statements with “might,” “could,” or “according to” rather than claiming facts outright, which helps mitigate overconfidence and hallucinations. Summary Mode – When your initial prompt is rambling or contains unnecessary background, choose Summary. Reform identifies the core of your request and condenses the prompt to the essential elements. This ensures the AI focuses on what matters most, giving you concise and relevant results. Socratic Mode – For brainstorming and critical thinking. Reform turns your prompt into a series of probing questions that guide the AI (and you) to explore different aspects of a topic. It encourages a dialogue rather than a one‑shot answer, leading to deeper insights. List Mode – Useful for planning, brainstorming or research tasks that require organized output. Reform structures your prompt so the AI replies with a bulleted or numbered list. It’s great for generating action plans, checklists, pros/cons or key points. Developer Mode – Specifically designed for coders. Reform rewrites your prompt to include language like “input,” “output,” “constraints,” “edge cases” and “example tests.” It makes sure the AI understands the problem, the environment and the expected return value so you get code that compiles and works. Step‑by‑Step Mode – Encourages the AI to break down its reasoning and answer in stages. Reform asks the model to solve each part of the problem one at a time, explaining its thought process before delivering the final solution. This mode is ideal for math problems, logic puzzles or any task where transparency matters. • Simple and Intuitive UI. Reform’s icon sits to the right of your text box, keeping your typing area clear. It’s elegantly designed to blend with modern site aesthetics. A tooltip appears on hover to tell you which mode is active, and clicking the icon triggers the rewrite. If there’s a mode conflict, a beautifully themed modal appears in the center of the page. It darkens the background and uses vibrant, accessible colors to highlight your choices. • Robust Site Detection. Reform supports many of the most popular AI chat services. • Privacy & Security. Reform’s logic for detecting text fields and showing the UI runs entirely on your device. It doesn’t send your text to any third party until you click the icon. When you do initiate a reformat, your prompt is sent to a secure API over encrypted HTTPS. The API processes the text and returns the reformatted version, which is immediately inserted back into the text box. No prompts are stored, logged or shared. The only data saved is your settings (modes, sites, preferences), which live in Chrome’s sync storage so they follow you if you use the same Google account across devices. This storage is never transmitted to our servers. • Accessibility. Reform is built with accessibility in mind. The popup and conflict-resolution modal use semantic HTML and appropriate ARIA attributes so screen readers can interpret them. You can navigate the UI entirely via keyboard (tab/arrow keys) and there are clear labels for each button. High‑contrast colors ensure readability for people with low vision. Tooltips and labels provide helpful context. • Multilingual Support. Whether you’re writing in English, Spanish, French or another language, Reform can still analyze your prompt and restructure it. Many of the AI platforms you connect to support multiple languages; Reform stays language‑agnostic and respects the syntax and style of your original text. Modes like List, Summary and Step‑by‑Step work just as well in non‑English contexts. • Continuous Updates. The world of AI moves fast. Reform is built with modular code so new modes, platforms and capabilities can be added over time. The team monitors user feedback and industry trends to keep the extension current. For example, new sites can be added to the supported list, and modes can be refined to account for changes in AI model behaviors. Automatic updates via the Chrome Web Store ensure you always run the latest version. How It Works Install and grant permissions. Once you add Reform to Chrome, it requests minimal permissions: access to the tabs you’re using and local storage. It has host permissions only for the supported AI sites and the secure API endpoint. There’s no blanket permission to see all websites. Select your default mode. After installation, open the extension’s popup from the toolbar. Pick your default reformatting style. You can change it anytime. Create saved agents (optional). From the popup, you can name an agent (e.g., “Research Mode”), choose a mode, and select which sites it applies to. You can create multiple agents and reorder or delete them later. Start typing on a supported site. When you write in a chat box, Reform quietly monitors the input field. You won’t see anything until you focus the field, at which point the icon appears to the right. The icon remains out of the way until you need it. Click to reformat. When you’re ready, click the icon. If there’s a conflict with multiple configured modes, a selection modal appears—otherwise, it’s just one click. The extension sends your original text (securely) to the API and waits for the response. It then replaces the text box contents with the improved version. If the AI call fails for any reason, Reform shows a helpful error message in a tooltip so you know what happened. Enjoy better AI responses! With Reform’s help, the AI model understands your intent better and gives you clearer, more relevant answers. If the output isn’t quite what you wanted, just edit your prompt and click again. Reform never modifies your text unless you ask it to. Benefits to Your Workflow Save Time. No more wrestling with ambiguous prompts or rewriting them yourself. You can capture your thoughts quickly and let Reform do the polishing. The AI responds with less confusion, reducing back‑and‑forth and saving minutes on every conversation. Improve Accuracy. Properly formatted prompts reduce hallucinations and misinterpretations. The Humility mode is especially useful for research or technical topics where correctness matters. Your answers will be more reliable and less likely to mislead. Learn Better Prompting. As you use Reform, you’ll start to notice the patterns that result in better answers. You’ll learn how to structure questions, specify outputs and provide context. Over time, you may find yourself writing better prompts without needing the reformat tool as much—though it’s always there when you need a tune‑up. Organize Complex Tasks. Modes like List and Step‑by‑Step turn a jumble of requests into structured guidance for the AI. They help you and the AI focus on one thing at a time, making big projects feel manageable. Tailor to Your Style. With saved agents, you can adapt Reform to your personal workflow. Maybe you like brainstorming with Socratic prompts on Perplexity but need precise code generation on OpenRouter. Agents let you switch without friction. Privacy by Design. You shouldn’t have to trade your data for convenience. Reform takes privacy seriously and uses local processing wherever possible. It only sends data to external services when necessary and never logs it.
