Check, copy, and monitor your public IP from a quiet Chrome popup. IP Watch is the Chrome companion for GetGeoFix IP Check. Open the popup to see the public IP address websites can see, copy it, and review the same network hints shown by the web app when they are available. Save your usual network, then turn on watch mode when you want a Chrome notification after your public IP changes. This is useful after switching Wi-Fi, hotspot, office network, or VPN and checking whether the visible public address changed. What it does: - Shows your current public IP first. - Shows IP version, approximate location, provider, ASN, timezone, coordinates, checked time, and map link when the JSON endpoint returns those fields. - Copies the IP address in one click. - Saves one usual network locally in Chrome storage. - Checks for changes on the interval you choose. - Shows a Chrome notification when watch mode is on and the saved public IP changes. - Uses the same https://ip.getgeofix.xyz/json endpoint as the GetGeoFix IP Check web app. What it does not do: - It does not hide, proxy, or change your IP. - It does not read website content or browsing history. - It does not request access to all websites. - It does not run ads in the extension. Privacy: - The extension calls only https://ip.getgeofix.xyz/json to check your public IP. - The endpoint receives the request IP so it can return it. - Saved network data, last check, watch setting, and interval stay in Chrome storage on your device. - Approximate location, provider, ASN, timezone, coordinates, and map URL show only when the endpoint response includes those fields. - The public website and privacy page disclose Vercel Analytics and the local metrics helper used on the website. The extension itself does not add third-party tracking scripts.
