Stay focused by locking into one tab, with a safe countdown and quick pause controls. Focus Tab Locker is a lightweight productivity extension that helps reduce tab-switching distractions. Choose one tab as your focus tab and stay on track during work, study, or other important sessions. Key Features: * Single-Tab Focus: Select one tab as your focused tab. Other tabs remain open but are temporarily restricted while Focus Mode is active. * 3-Second Countdown: When you switch to another tab, a clear countdown appears before returning you to the focused tab. * Switch Your Focus: During the countdown, select “Use this tab instead” to make the current tab your new focused tab. * Clear Active State: The toolbar lock icon turns red while Focus Mode is active. * Automatic Cleanup: Focus Mode turns off automatically if the focused tab or its window is closed. * Restart Handling: If Chrome restores the focused tab after restarting, Focus Tab Locker reconnects to it. If the tab is unavailable, Focus Mode turns off automatically. * Non-Destructive: The extension does not close your existing tabs. They remain available after Focus Mode is disabled. Note: Chrome-restricted pages cannot display the countdown overlay. The toolbar badge will show the countdown instead. How to Use: 1. Open the tab you want to focus on. 2. Click the Focus Tab Locker toolbar icon to enable Focus Mode. 3. If you switch tabs, wait to return or select “Use this tab instead.” 4. Click the toolbar icon again to disable Focus Mode. Privacy: Focus Tab Locker operates entirely on your device. It stores Focus Mode status, the focused tab ID, and its URL using Chrome’s local storage. No personal data is collected, transmitted, sold, or stored externally.
