Capture and export network requests from the active tab TrafficLens is a developer-focused network inspector for capturing, reviewing, and exporting requests from the active Chrome tab. CAPTURE AND INSPECT • Start and stop capture explicitly from the extension popup. • Capture request URLs, methods, headers, bodies, resource types, timestamps, response status, response headers, and available response bodies. • Filter captured traffic by a URL substring. • View live request status updates and detailed request/response data. • Hide OPTIONS requests from the list and exports when desired. EXPORT • Export captured traffic as readable JSON. • Export a Postman Collection v2.1 with request and response examples. • Exports are created locally from the extension popup. PRIVACY AND CONTROL • Capture begins only when you select Start and applies only to the tab that was active at that moment. • Captured data remains in local Chrome extension storage and is never sent to the developer or third parties. • TrafficLens includes no advertising, analytics, accounts, remote code, or external dependencies. • Local storage is bounded, and older requests are discarded as limits are reached. • Clear captured data at any time from the popup. • Captures may contain sensitive headers, cookies, submitted data, or personal information; review exported files before sharing. PERMISSIONS • debugger: required to access Chrome's Network debugging domain while capture is active. • storage: required to save capture data, settings, and state locally. TrafficLens requests no all-site host permission and does not use the downloads permission. Chrome DevTools and TrafficLens cannot attach to the same tab simultaneously.
