Whole site scan crawls every page of a website in a separate tab and shows on which pages each broken link was found. The extension also works inside Google Docs and Google Sheets. The extension reads the links from the file, including every sheet of a spreadsheet, and lists the results in its window. Links inside the document itself are not highlighted, because Google draws the file on a canvas. What you get in the CSV report Each row includes the link text, URL, HTTP status code, status description, redirect chain and final URL. Whole site reports add the page where the link was found and that page's title. Use it for SEO audits, client reports, QA checklists, or internal documentation. Who finds it useful SEO specialists — check for broken links on any page before or after publishing, or crawl the whole site before a launch or a migration. Spot dead URLs that hurt rankings and user experience. Developers — validate navigation elements, internal links, and API endpoints during development and staging reviews. QA testers — run a quick link check as part of pre-release testing. Check one page in seconds, or scan the whole staging site in one go. Content editors — find outdated references and dead links in articles, landing pages, and documentation. Marketing teams — make sure every CTA, banner, and campaign link actually works. Frequently asked questions Q: Does it scan every link on the page? A: Yes — anchor tags, navigation menus, area maps, meta links, data attributes, and onclick handlers are all checked. Q: Can it detect redirects? A: Yes. Redirected URLs (301, 307, 308) are highlighted separately so you can decide whether to update them. Q: Does it work on any website? A: It runs on any public webpage opened in Chrome, and inside Google Docs and Google Sheets. Q: Can it check a whole website? A: Yes. Click "Whole site" to crawl every page of the site within the page limit you set. The scanner follows internal links and sitemap.xml, can respect robots.txt, and keeps the report in your browser so you can come back to it later. Q: Is my data safe? A: Link checks run entirely in your browser — the pages you scan and their results are never sent to our servers. The same is true for whole site scans and for Google Docs and Sheets. The extension includes a number of free checks, shared by page checks and whole site scans. Continued checking requires a paid plan — a subscription or a one-time purchase.
