MergeGrid – 2048 Number Puzzle MergeGrid is a simple and enjoyable 2048 number puzzle game designed for quick games directly in Chrome. The goal is simple: move the numbered tiles, combine matching numbers, and create higher-value tiles. Keep merging tiles while managing the available space on the board and try to reach 2048. No account is required to play. HOW TO PLAY Use the arrow keys or W, A, S, and D keys to move the tiles. When two tiles with the same number touch, they merge into one tile with double the value. For example: 2 + 2 = 4 4 + 4 = 8 8 + 8 = 16 Continue combining tiles and plan your moves carefully. The game ends when there are no available moves remaining. SIMPLE GAMEPLAY MergeGrid keeps the experience focused on the classic 2048 gameplay. You can start a new game whenever you want, continue an existing game, and use the undo option when you want to reverse your previous move. SCORE AND BEST SCORE Your current score is displayed during the game, along with your best score. The best score is saved locally so you can continue trying to improve your personal record. LOCAL PROGRESS MergeGrid saves gameplay progress locally in your browser. Your current board, score, move count, and other game progress can be restored when you open the extension again. No account or online profile is required. TOUCH SUPPORT On supported devices, you can swipe across the game board to move the tiles. This provides an alternative to keyboard controls and makes the game comfortable to use on touch-enabled screens. UNDO Made a move you didn't intend to make? Use the Undo button to return to the previous board state. NEW GAME Start a fresh game at any time using the New Game button. The game also displays a simple Game Over screen when no more moves are available.
