Detects when you are likely typing without any editable field focused. FocusType alerts you when you start typing without an editable field focused. It is a small, lightweight Chrome extension designed to solve a simple but frustrating problem: you begin typing in a form, search box, chat, email or web editor, only to realize that the field had lost focus and nothing was being entered. When FocusType detects a likely typing pattern outside an editable field, it: * shows a clear visual warning; * can play a short optional sound; * avoids repeated alerts with a cooldown period; * lets you disable the sound; * lets you disable FocusType on specific websites. FocusType uses a conservative detection approach to reduce false positives. The priority is to warn only when there is a reasonable likelihood that you are actually trying to type. ### Privacy Privacy is a core part of FocusType's design. The extension: * does not store the keys you press; * does not reconstruct words or sentences; * does not record what you type; * does not transmit keystrokes to any server; * does not use analytics or telemetry; * does not use external services. All processing required to detect likely typing is performed locally on your device. FocusType only stores the minimum local preferences needed for its operation, such as whether sound is enabled and which websites you have chosen to disable the extension on. ### Languages FocusType is available in: * Catalan * Spanish * English FocusType is a focused micro-utility: it does one thing and aims to do it well.
