Ask one of your own BuildGentic agents about the page you are on. Ask your own BuildGentic agents about the page you are reading, without leaving it. BuildGentic is a platform where students build and use AI agents. This extension puts those agents in a side panel next to whatever you are looking at — a journal article, a Stack Overflow answer, a textbook page, a news story — so you can ask about it in place instead of copying text into another tab. HOW IT WORKS 1. Sign in at buildgentic.com and connect this browser. It takes one click, and the extension never receives your password or your session. 2. In the app, switch on the agents you want available in the side panel. 3. Press the extension icon, or Ctrl+Shift+U, and ask. You choose what it sees. Highlight a passage and it uses just that, or let it read the main text of the page. WHAT STUDENTS USE IT FOR • A research agent on a source — is this citable, who wrote it, who funded it? • A study tutor on a textbook page — explain this section from the beginning. • A coding coach on documentation — what does this actually do? • A writing coach on a draft — highlight a paragraph and ask for notes. PRIVACY The extension reads a page only when you ask it to, and Chrome enforces that rather than our code merely promising it. It uses the activeTab permission, which grants access to a tab only after you act on the extension. There are no content scripts, and no permission to run on all sites. It cannot read password fields, or anything you have typed into a text box but not sent. Those are excluded structurally, not by policy. It does not track your browsing, does not run in the background, and cannot see any tab other than the one you invoked it on. Connecting the extension gives it a single token that works only on our extension endpoints. It is not a second way into your account.
