Stop getting addicted to websites. Extension puts site on cooldown (temporarily blocks) after you visit it. # Site Cooldown Stop getting addicted to sites like news/memes/etc. Extension works like this: Once you open a website - you have *10 min* to browse it. Then the site is on cooldown (blocked) for *3 hours*. Both browsing and cooldown timers are configurable. ## Use 1. Open the extension popup and select **Settings**. 2. Add a hostname or full website URL. 3. Adjust each site's exploration and cooldown duration as needed. 4. The first visit starts the exploration timer. When it expires, the site enters cooldown. ## Details - Default Browse time: **10 minutes** - Default Cooldown: **3 hours** - First visit to a website starts its exploration time window. - All matching tabs share the same timer. - When exploration expires, matching tabs are redirected to a local block page. - A hostname includes its subdomains. `example.com` therefore includes `www.example.com` and `news.example.com`. - Timers use stored absolute timestamps, so closing Chrome, restarting the computer, or sleep does not reset them. ## Notes - Chrome internal pages such as `chrome://settings` cannot be controlled. - Extension will work in Incognito mode only if you enable **Allow in Incognito** in settings this extension.
