You review the numbers and file it yourself. SelfTax does the math — you stay in control. HOW IT WORKS: 1. Upload your tax documents into the extension 2. SelfTax redacts your SSN, name, and address before any processing 3. The tax engine calculates your return — no AI guessing, every number is auditable 4. Navigate to a supported free filing site and click Autofill — SelfTax fills the forms for you 5. Review your return and submit it yourself PRIVACY FIRST: Your Social Security number, name, address, and account numbers never leave your computer. All tax math runs locally in your browser. If you enable AI document extraction (optional), personal information is stripped and replaced with placeholders before anything is sent.
