Export every AI-generated image from a ChatGPT conversation, with a metadata.csv of prompts. Not affiliated with OpenAI. Image Exporter for ChatGPT saves the AI-generated images from a ChatGPT conversation to your computer, together with a metadata.csv that records each image's prompt. WHAT IT DOES • Scans the conversation you have open and shows every generated image on one contact sheet, with checkboxes. • Downloads the images you select into a folder named after the conversation — original files, never re-encoded. • Writes a metadata.csv beside them with each image's prompt, generation id, file name and timestamp. • Rebuilds each prompt from the conversation itself: your original request plus the follow-up edits that produced each variation. OPTIONAL TAGGING "Tag and download" asks ChatGPT to describe each selected image and return a title plus about 50 keywords — 25 in English and 25 in a second language you pick from 20. The title and keywords are embedded in each PNG's XMP metadata, so they travel inside the file and are read by ExifTool, Adobe Bridge and Lightroom. If you contribute to stock libraries, the keywords arrive already inside the file. Worth knowing before you use it: tagging posts one message per image, plus one at the start of the run, into your own ChatGPT conversation. Those messages stay in your chat history and use your own ChatGPT quota. The AI-written title and keywords are saved into the downloaded files without your review. PRIVACY Everything happens in your browser. No account, no API key, no server of ours. The extension runs only on chatgpt.com, talks only to ChatGPT and its image hosts, and sends nothing anywhere else. There is no analytics or telemetry code in the extension at all.
