Lets a local AI agent (MCP) read and act on web pages you allow, using your own logged-in browser. Nothing leaves your computer. Ugot Browser Agent connects an AI agent running on YOUR computer (an MCP server such as Claude Code or Codex) to your own Chrome, so the agent can read and act on the websites you explicitly allow — using your existing logins, with nothing sent to any cloud. How it works • The extension only talks to a local bridge process on 127.0.0.1 (loopback). There is no remote server. • Only sites you allow from the popup ("Allow this site") can be read, clicked, typed into or scrolled. • Password fields are never typed into and their values are never exposed. • Clicks that look like submit / pay / delete / send show an in-page approval prompt that you must accept. • Screenshots require a separate "all sites" grant because of Chrome's capture policy. Setup 1. Install the extension. 2. Run the local bridge (open source, edu-ide/monorepo): claude mcp add ugot-browser -- node services/browser-bridge-mcp/server.mjs 3. On the tab you want to automate, click the extension icon → "Allow this site". Privacy The extension collects nothing. Page content goes only to the local bridge on your machine.
