Reveal exact destinations of external links in visible Slack web messages. Message Link Lens makes external link destinations visible while you review a conversation in Slack on the web. Slack can display a descriptive label instead of the URL behind a message link. When you need to review where several links really lead, checking them one at a time is slow. Message Link Lens adds a compact, copyable destination-domain badge beside each external link in visible message content. How it works: 1. Open a conversation at app.slack.com. 2. Click the Message Link Lens toolbar icon. 3. Review the destination-domain badges added beside external message links. 4. Hover or focus a badge to see the exact URL, or click it to copy that URL. 5. Click the toolbar icon again to remove the badges. If visible link text contains a different domain from the destination, the badge uses a warning color. This is a transparent comparison only—not a security verdict. Privacy and scope: - Runs only after you click the toolbar icon in the active Slack tab. - Reads only existing message-link text and destinations needed to draw the local badges. - Does not open links, follow redirects, rate safety, alter messages, or contact a server. - No accounts, analytics, advertising, storage, or remote code. - Clipboard writing occurs only after you explicitly click a destination badge; the clipboard is never read. Message Link Lens does one narrow job: make the exact destinations already present in Slack messages easier to inspect and copy.
