Channel IDs are used to identify blocked channels reliably. Your blocklist and settings are stored using Chrome extension storage. Cross-browser synchronisation requires Chrome Sync to be enabled for the same Google account. No separate extension account is needed. Works on the YouTube website in Chrome, not in the YouTube mobile app. YouTube layout changes may affect supported controls.
