Lets claude.ai read and write a local folder you authorize. No install, no API key. Unofficial, not affiliated with Anthropic. Connect a local folder to claude.ai. Pick and authorize a folder once, and Claude can read, search, and edit the files in it right from the chat — no desktop app, no API key, no command line. - 20+ file tools aligned with the official filesystem tool set: list, read, line-range read, filename search, content grep, write, edit, move, copy, append, delete, and more - Safety first: every write operation (write / edit / move / delete…) shows a diff confirmation dialog before touching your disk — you review and approve each change; external-modification warnings prevent stale overwrites - Privacy: the extension itself sends nothing to any server. File content that Claude reads goes only into your claude.ai conversation, the same as if you pasted it there yourself. Your folder reference is stored locally (IndexedDB) only. - Uses your existing Claude subscription — no extra cost, no API key How to use: install → open claude.ai → click the connect button at the bottom right → pick a folder → ask Claude to read a file.
