Description
Copy web text snippets and their direct scroll-to-highlight links in a single action. Supports multi-selection. Copy both web text snippets and their direct scroll-to-highlight links in a single action! Tired of manually copying a text snippet and then separately copying the page link? Highlight Link & Snippet Copier solves this by capturing both the snippet and its direct scroll-to-highlight URL instantly. 🚀 THE SMART DUAL-DATA URL (2-in-1 COPYING) This extension utilizes Chrome's native "Scroll-to-Text Fragment" standard (#:~:text=...). When you copy a highlight, the exact text snippet is beautifully encoded directly inside the URL hash. • For Users: Paste the link anywhere. When clicked, it opens the page and automatically scrolls to and highlights your exact selection. • For Modern Websites & Apps: Because the text is packed inside the URL, any website, note-taking app, or tool that parses the URL can easily extract the :~:text= parameter, splitting your paste into 2 clean parts: the source Link and the quoted Text snippet! No custom formatting, no messy paste blocks—just standard-compliant, rich reference data. Perfect for researchers, students, developers, and writers who need to cite web sources with precise highlights in notes, databases, spreadsheets, or task trackers (like Notion, Obsidian, Roam, Logseq, or custom CMS platforms). FEATURES • Dual-Purpose Copying: Instantly copies a rich, scroll-to-highlight URL that holds both the webpage link and the selected text snippet. • Multi-Snippet Concatenation: Select multiple text blocks sequentially on the same page. The extension automatically merges them into a single, multi-highlight URL and concatenates the plain text snippets. • Smart, Non-Intrusive Popup: A subtle, elegant action button appears right near your selection and disappears as soon as you're done or click away. • Developers & Webmasters Friendly: Ideal for building integrations. Web applications can easily parse the copied URL to store the URL and text snippet separately in a database. • Global Localization: Fully translated UI for 17 languages, including Arabic, Bulgarian, Bengali, German, English, Spanish, Filipino, French, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Thai, Ukrainian, Urdu, Vietnamese, and Chinese. • 100% Secure & Private: Works entirely offline on your device. No data collection, no analytics, no external servers. HOW IT WORKS 1. Highlight any text on a webpage. 2. Click the "Copy text and link" button that appears instantly near your cursor. 3. (Optional) Highlight a second text block on the same page to add it to your multi-highlight queue. 4. Paste it anywhere! For single selections, you get the direct scroll-to-highlight URL (which contains the text). For multi-selections, you get the combined multi-highlight URL followed by the plain text snippets. 5. Click the "×" on the button to clear the multi-snippet queue at any time. PRIVACY & PERMISSIONS • Clipboard Write: Needed only to write the copied data to your clipboard. • This extension does NOT collect, store, or transmit any user data. All operations happen strictly within your browser.
