Reader mode strips clutter locally. Selected text is sent to our AI service for simplification (with consent). Too much clutter on the page? Clean it up. Two tools in one: - One-click reader mode removes ads, sidebars, and clutter (runs locally on your device) - Optional AI simplify: highlight text, click "Simplify Text", get an easier version How AI simplify works (please read): When you turn on AI simplify and click "Simplify Text" on a webpage, the text you selected is sent over HTTPS to our service at extensions-feedback-api-production.up.railway.app, which forwards it to a third-party AI model and returns a simplified version. We do not store the text after the request completes. No browsing history, page content other than what you select, or identifiers are sent. AI simplify is OFF by default. On install, an onboarding tab appears explaining the data flow and asking for explicit consent. You can enable, disable, or revoke consent at any time from the extension popup. Reader mode does not send anything — it works entirely on your device. - Select text → "Simplify Text" → AI returns a cleaner version (consent required) - Reader mode removes ads/sidebars (always local) - Keyboard shortcut (Alt+Shift+S) for reader mode - Right-click menu to simplify selected text - Works on any page PRIVACY Reader mode runs entirely on your device. AI simplify is opt-in and only sends the specific text you select to our AI service for processing. We do not store, log, or share that text after the response is returned.
