Quickly translate selected text from a floating button, context menu, or popup. Understand unfamiliar text without leaving the page. Select words or sentences, click the floating translate button, and view the translation beside what you are reading. QuickSelect Translate keeps everyday web translation close at hand: • Translate selected text from a floating button, the right-click menu, or a keyboard shortcut. • Type or reuse selected text in the extension popup. • Automatically detect the source language and choose from 30 target languages. • Copy translations or listen to source and translated text with your browser's speech synthesis. • Open selected text, the current page, or a link in Google Translate when you want the full Google Translate experience. • Adjust source and target languages, selection behavior, theme, text size, floating-button position, and maximum text length. • Use the interface in English, Traditional Chinese, or Simplified Chinese. Designed for reading, not tracking QuickSelect Translate has no account, ads, analytics, or telemetry. It does not keep a persistent translation history and does not send data to a server operated by this project. Settings are stored locally in Chrome. Text is sent over HTTPS to Google Translate only when you request a translation, or after selection if you explicitly enable immediate translation. Page and link translation open Google Translate with the relevant URL. Google processes that information under its own terms and privacy policy.
