ImageTextFinder turns text inside webpage images into searchable, selectable text. After you enable site access, press Ctrl+F on Windows or Linux, or Command+F on macOS, to find normal page text and recognized image text in one sidebar. Jump to each match, highlight its location, and copy text without downloading or uploading the image. Image content, search queries, recognized results, and copied text are not sent to an external recognition, AI, analytics, advertising, or developer service. You can clear the local cache and all extension-owned data in Settings. SITE ACCESS AND CHROME FIND Website access is optional and requested only after you choose to enable the extension. It is needed to read visible page text and supported images, run local recognition, render highlights, and open the combined finder with Ctrl+F. Without permission, or on restricted browser pages, Chrome's normal Find remains available. LIMITATIONS Chrome internal pages, Chrome Web Store pages, protected or DRM content, inaccessible cross-origin frames, PDF viewers, video frames, WebGL content, and images whose pixels cannot be read may not work. OCR accuracy varies with resolution, contrast, font, rotation, layout, and language. Handwriting, equations, complex tables, vertical text, and heavily distorted text are not guaranteed.
