Lensable helps you search, understand, and save anything you see on the web. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Visual Search — select an object, image, or area on a webpage to identify it and find related products or information • Ask About Area — draw around part of a page, image, or video and ask questions about what you captured • Explain Highlighted Text — highlight text on a webpage to get a simple explanation or ask follow-up questions • Shop From What You See — find product matches and buying options from what you captured • Save — keep a result or highlight and find it again later HOW IT WORKS Nothing happens until you act. Lensable stays dormant on every page. When you finish drawing an area, that capture plus the address of the page it came from is sent to be analyzed, and the answer comes back. There is no background screenshotting, no ambient recording, and no reading of pages you simply visit. ACCOUNT AND PRICING A free account is required to run searches. Every account starts with 20 free searches a month. If you need more, paid plans and a one-time top-up that never expires are available from $3.99 — monthly plans renew automatically and you can cancel at any time. AI PROCESSING Answers are produced by AI, which means they can be wrong. Each request goes to the AI assistant you choose in settings, or Lensable can choose one for you automatically. Product matches come from visual search and shopping data providers. Every provider that receives your data is named in our privacy policy, and each one handles that data under its own policy. CONTENT AWARE IS OPTIONAL Content Aware is off by default. With it off, Lensable sends only what you captured and the page address. Turning it on additionally sends the page title and a small amount of surrounding text so the answer fits what you are reading. You can turn it back off at any time. WHY IT NEEDS BROAD SITE ACCESS Lensable is a selection tool, so it has to be able to run on whatever site you happen to be watching or reading — and which sites those will be cannot be known in advance. It stays inactive until you invoke it, and Chrome lets you limit it to run only when you click the extension icon, or only on sites you choose. Lensable works normally either way. WHAT IT WILL NOT DO • No continuous or background capture • No reading of your browsing history or open tabs, and no scanning of form fields — Lensable only captures the pixels inside the area you draw • No advertising profile, and no sale of personal data • No bypassing of DRM protections — when the browser blanks a protected frame, Lensable reports it instead of working around it Independent project.
