Silent label printing for GramGuardian This extension communicates with a locally installed printer service running on the user’s computer to enable secure, silent label printing. The local service is responsible for: • Sending print jobs to locally connected label printers • Retrieving the list of installed printers • Performing automated printing without additional user interaction Chrome extensions cannot directly access local printers or operating system print services. To work around this limitation, the extension communicates with a trusted local service via localhost, which handles all printer-related operations on the user’s machine. All communication occurs locally between the extension and the printer service using http://localhost. No personal data is collected, stored, or transmitted to external servers. The extension only sends printer commands and status requests explicitly initiated by the user.
