Convert local PDF files to editable Markdown privately in your browser. Turn text-based PDF documents into editable Markdown directly in Chrome. PDF to Markdown by PDF to MD processes the files you select locally in your browser. No account is needed, and the extension does not upload your documents. HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the extension icon to open the converter. 2. Choose or drag in a PDF from your computer. 3. Convert it to Markdown. 4. Review or edit the output, then copy it or download a .md file. FEATURES - Local PDF to Markdown conversion. - Editable Markdown output. - Copy to clipboard and download as .md. - Files up to 50 MB and 500 pages. - Cancel a conversion and choose another document. - No account, tracking, or browsing-history access. LIMITATIONS Works with PDFs that contain selectable text. Scanned, encrypted, or damaged PDFs may not convert. Complex layouts may need manual editing. For scanned PDFs, open the optional OCR link to pdf-to-md.app. OCR is a separate website service and may require an account and payment. Files are never sent there automatically.
