Shows estimated salary range and total compensation (base, bonus, stock) next to the current role on LinkedIn profiles. LinkedIn Salary Estimator adds a small panel beside your Experience rows on LinkedIn profile pages (linkedin.com/in/…). It summarizes estimated compensation (salary band and modelled total compensation where that makes sense). Important These numbers are estimates from public‑web style reasoning—job posts, benchmarks, surveys, similar roles—not from LinkedIn, employers, payroll, or private data. Treat them as illustrative; they may be incomplete or inaccurate. How it uses AI (optional) If you paste a Google Gemini API key in the extension popup, the extension calls Google’s Generative Language API to help produce summaries. Keys are saved only in this browser (extension local storage) and do not sync via Chrome Sync to Google’s servers through this mechanism. Bring your own key from Google AI Studio; usage is subject to your Google account and quotas. If you skip the API key, the extension does not call Gemini until you configure one. Privacy & data The extension interacts with LinkedIn profile pages where you browse. It sends prompts and related context to Gemini only when you use features that invoke the configured API.
