See Crit's verdict on any Steam game, plus the discount when it is on sale: buy, wait or skip. Crit answers the one question a Steam store page does not: should I buy this, at this price? Open a game's store page and the toolbar tells you the call at a glance: - Green: the reviews are positive - Amber: mixed - Red: negative - Grey: Crit has no verdict for this game yet - Blue: this tab is not a Steam game page Click the icon for the score, the review count, how confident Crit is in it, and the price with its discount. The link opens the full breakdown on critnow.com. What it is not: Crit does watch Steam prices, but the extension does not watch them for you. There are no sale alerts and no notifications, no price history in the popup, and no comparison against other stores. It answers for the game on the page in front of you. Where the verdict comes from Crit does not play or review games. It reads what players wrote and reports what the weight of that says, with the reason. Nothing but reviews moves a verdict: developer scores, price, and commission are not inputs. Games with too few reviews get no confident verdict, and the extension shows no verdict rather than a number that cannot be trusted. What it reads The extension reads the address of the tab you are on to find the Steam app id of the game. It sends that number, and nothing else, to critnow.com to fetch the verdict. There are no accounts, no cookies, no analytics, and no tracking. The verdict it fetches is cached in session memory for a few minutes, so reopening the popup usually costs no request, and nothing is written to disk. Crit is not affiliated with Valve Corporation.
