Capture pages open in your browser as editable .h2f files for Figma. Free, no account required. Turn a page that is already open in your browser into editable Figma layers. HTML to Figma Capture is useful when a normal URL importer cannot see the same page state as you. Capture public pages, localhost projects, and many signed-in or private workspace views from the browser tab where they are already open. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open the page you want to capture. 2. Choose full-page or area capture, responsive widths, and Browser, Light, or Dark appearance. 3. Download one local .h2f file, or enter the one-time pairing code shown by the HTML to Figma plugin and choose Figma plugin delivery. 4. Import the downloaded file or receive the paired capture in HTML to Figma to create editable layers. LOCAL DOWNLOAD AND OPTIONAL DIRECT DELIVERY Local download is the default. If you choose Figma plugin and enter its one-time pairing code, the extension sends the compressed .h2f bytes over HTTPS through a short-lived in-memory relay at api.htmltofigma.com. The plugin validates and consumes the same bytes used by file import. If direct delivery fails, the extension automatically saves the completed capture through Chrome Downloads. Readable debug JSON is always downloaded locally. CAPTURE NOTES Light and Dark emulate the browser's color-scheme preference. Websites with their own theme controls may keep the same appearance. Open Shadow DOM is supported. Closed Shadow DOM and some protected cross-origin content have capture limitations. Chrome does not allow extensions to capture internal browser pages or the Chrome Web Store. Enable file access in Chrome if you want to capture supported file:// pages. An .h2f file contains captured page content and referenced assets or links. Review it before sharing when the source page is private. The companion HTML to Figma plugin is required to turn captures into editable Figma layers. This extension does not provide native copy-and-paste delivery directly onto the Figma canvas.
