Organize related tabs into native Chrome groups using private, on-device semantic analysis. SmartTabGroups automatically organizes related browser tabs into native Chrome tab groups using semantic analysis that runs on your device. Click the SmartTabGroups toolbar icon to open the organizer. The extension analyzes your open tabs, proposes meaningful groups, and lets you review everything before applying changes. Features: - Groups tabs by subject and project rather than simply by website or domain. - Uses local multilingual semantic embeddings together with local page-text similarity. - Works with existing Chrome tab groups and can suggest adding relevant tabs to them. - Shows the tabs already inside existing groups and lets you drag tabs between groups. - Lets you rename groups and create new groups directly from the organizer. - Supports organizing the current window or all Chrome windows. - Moves tabs between browser windows automatically when a destination group belongs to another window. - Lets you close tabs from the organizer, with a short Undo Close option. - Provides an editable preview before applying group changes and an Undo option for grouping changes. - Uses Chrome's built-in Gemini Nano, when available, only to improve group names after local grouping has completed. Privacy is a core design constraint. Tab and page content is analyzed locally in Chrome and is not sent to a SmartTabGroups backend. The semantic model and local inference runtime are included in the installed extension package. If page-access permission is not granted, SmartTabGroups falls back to titles and URLs. SmartTabGroups does not include advertising, analytics, account registration, or cloud synchronization in version 0.0.1.
