Seal a tab's page state and restore it when the page drifts. Tab Seal creates a local checkpoint for the tab you are currently using. When you choose "Seal this tab," the extension records the page URL and title, the current scroll position, selected text when present, and ordinary editable form state such as text fields, textareas, selects, checkboxes, and radio controls. Password, file, and hidden inputs are deliberately excluded. After a tab is sealed, a small in-page seal indicator shows whether the checkpoint is still intact. Changes to editable fields or a meaningful scroll movement mark the seal as disturbed. Navigation away from the sealed URL is also treated as a change. The popup then offers three explicit choices: restore the sealed checkpoint, update the seal to the page's current state, or break the seal. Restore returns a navigated tab to its sealed URL when necessary and then attempts to restore the captured editable values, scroll position, and exact selected text. Tab Seal does not submit forms, press site buttons, or infer new values. If a control no longer exists, that control is skipped rather than replaced with a guessed target. Seals are stored locally in Chrome extension storage. A seal is associated with the browser tab, removed when that tab is closed, and may be reattached after a browser restart only when an exact sealed URL maps unambiguously to a single open tab. Tab Seal has no account system, cloud synchronization, analytics, advertising, telemetry, or extension-initiated network requests.
