Description

Free drag-and-drop email designer. No account, no signup — runs in your browser, with one-click insert into Gmail and Outlook. A free drag and drop email designer. Designs an HTML email that can be used with Gmail, Outlook, and other services. No coding required. This is a free design tool. Doesn't require registration or any sign up. Just a free plugin. Latest Version: 2.2.0 Public Website: https://free-html-email-newsletter-designer.pages.dev (If you are looking for a new feature please leave a comment.) Open a compose window in Gmail or Outlook on the web and you get a "Design newsletter" button next to Send. Click it, build your email in a full visual designer, hit "Insert into Gmail" or "Insert into Outlook," and the finished newsletter lands in the draft you came from. No copy-and-paste gymnastics, no third-party account, no data leaving your browser. WHO IT'S FOR People who send one good email at a time. Club and church newsletters, school and classroom updates, team announcements, HOA and neighborhood notices, small-business updates, project status emails, event invitations. If you have been pasting a Word document into Gmail or Outlook and watching the formatting fall apart, this is the fix. HOW IT WORKS Open Gmail or Outlook on the web and start a new message. Click "Design newsletter" next to the Send button. Build the email — drag blocks in, type directly on them, style them. Click "Insert into Gmail" (or "Insert into Outlook"). Your mail tab comes back to the front and the newsletter drops into your draft, above your signature. The designer stays open, so you can adjust something and insert again. The toolbar icon also opens the designer on its own, with no draft attached, for building something now and sending it later. WORKS WITH • Gmail on the web — mail.google.com • Outlook on the web — outlook.office.com, outlook.office365.com, outlook.live.com, outlook.com, and outlook.cloud.microsoft That covers personal Outlook.com and Hotmail accounts as well as Microsoft 365 work and school mail, including Outlook opened inside the Microsoft 365 app shell. WHAT YOU CAN BUILD • Multi-column layouts — 1, 2, or 3 columns, each with its own border, padding, corner radius, and background • Headings, text, and lists with real rich-text formatting: bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, color, highlight, font, size, and links • Images, with upload straight from your computer • Call-to-action buttons • Pull quotes, dividers, and spacers • A custom HTML block, for when you want to hand-write the markup • Sections that group everything and can be reordered, renamed, and nested You type on the design itself. Click a block once to select it, click again to start typing — the text you edit is the text that gets sent. A formatting bar sits above the canvas while you're writing. BUILT FOR EMAIL, NOT FOR THE WEB Email clients are twenty years behind browsers, and most "HTML editors" produce markup that falls apart the moment it reaches Outlook. This one exports what email actually needs: • Nested table layout, not flexbox or grid • Every style written inline on the element • System and email-safe font stacks • A 600px content column that scales down on phones • Explicit image widths and borders Tested in Gmail and Outlook on the web. Built for how desktop Outlook and Apple Mail render markup, too — nested tables, inline styles, and font stacks those clients support. There are extras for people who want them: set the global type scale once and every heading follows it, hide a block on desktop or on mobile, stack columns vertically on small screens, preview the whole email at desktop or mobile width before you send. YOUR WORK IS YOURS • Autosaves as you go, in your browser • Full undo and redo • Save a project to a .newsletter.json file and open it again later, or on another machine — uploaded images travel inside the file, so it's self-contained PRIVACY There is no server. There is no account. The extension makes no network calls at all — everything runs in your browser, and your newsletter is stored on your own machine. It does not read your inbox. It does not touch your contacts. It has permission for mail.google.com and the Outlook web addresses because it needs to put a button in the compose window and place the email into the draft — nothing more. No analytics, no tracking, no data collected, nothing sold or shared with anyone. TWO THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU INSTALL Mobile column stacking and per-device visibility don't survive being inserted into a compose window. Both rely on CSS in the document head, and a compose window has no head to paste into — Gmail and Outlook strip it regardless. Your columns will stay side by side on phones. This is true of any email pasted into webmail, by hand or otherwise; it isn't specific to this extension. If those features matter to your send, use Export HTML and a real email service instead. Gmail and Outlook are not bulk senders. Gmail caps consumer accounts at 500 messages a day and Workspace at 2,000; Outlook has its own daily recipient limits. Neither handles unsubscribes. This is built for writing one good email to a list you already have — not for running a marketing campaign. REQUIREMENTS Chrome, and Gmail or Outlook on the web. Nothing else.
