Turn a phrase into a responsive field of kinetic typography. Type Orbit is a local kinetic-typography playground that opens in its own extension page. Enter a short phrase and watch its characters move through six distinct motion systems: Orbit, Wave, Spiral, Ribbon, Pendulum, and Gravity. Adjust speed, spacing, trail persistence, and direction while the animation is running. Individual letters can be clicked to kick them temporarily away from their calculated path before they settle back into the composition. The extension is intentionally narrow in scope. It does not edit webpages, inspect page content, fetch fonts or templates from the internet, or export data to an online service. The animation is rendered locally with Canvas 2D and requestAnimationFrame. The current phrase and visual controls are saved in the extension page's localStorage so the workspace can reopen in the same state. Type Orbit is opened from the browser toolbar. Its background service worker only responds to the extension action by opening the packaged app.html page in a new browser tab. The worker does not read the current tab URL, title, content, history, or other browsing metadata.
