Verify whether on-page media or selected text is likely authentic or AI-generated. AuthentiCheck helps you check whether media you see in Chrome is likely authentic or likely AI-generated. Right-click an image, video, or selected text, or use Scan this tab. AuthentiCheck returns an authenticity score from 0 to 100 (100 = likely authentic) plus a short explanation. A colored score badge appears on the page. What it can scan • On-page images • A captured frame from an on-page video • Selected text • Files you upload in the popup • Watch-page previews (for example a YouTube thumbnail). That scores the preview image, not the video file itself. What the score means • Likely authentic • Insufficient evidence • Likely synthetic Missing C2PA Content Credentials or camera EXIF is a warning, not proof that something is fake. Classifier scores are estimates, not legal or forensic proof. Privacy AuthentiCheck uses a random device token so your recent scans stay on your device.
