Block distracting sites, take notes, and keep the list in your account when signed in. Umbra blocks distracting websites in Chrome. The shield runs on this computer. If you stay signed out, the list lives in the browser. If you sign in, the dashboard at umbra-blocking.vercel.app becomes the source of truth. What it does • Block a site, keep it on the list, or release it until you block it again • Pause — a short countdown before a watched page loads • Feeds — hide Shorts, Reels, and recommended shelves on hosts you mark • Flow — a timed focus stretch, with an optional password to end it • Hours — weekday windows, allowlists, and daily minute budgets • Notes — capture the tab while the shield is up • Lock — require a password to allow a locked site. That password never leaves Chrome. Umbra does not freeze the OS, read GPS, or scan SMS. Install, pin the eclipse icon, then add the sites you want in shadow.
