WHY SNAPJPG • 100% local — conversion runs in your browser with WebAssembly. Nothing is uploaded, ever. Open your Network tab and check: zero outbound requests with your images. • Minimal permissions — SnapJPG requests only "downloads" (to save your JPGs and ZIPs). No website access, no browsing data, no remote code. • Batch convert — drop dozens of photos at once and convert them in parallel, with per-file progress. • Keep your dates — preserves each photo's original capture date and correct orientation. • Download your way — save files one by one, or grab the whole batch as a ZIP. • Quality control — a simple slider trades file size against quality (default 92%). HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the SnapJPG icon and open the converter. 2. Drag in your .heic / .heif photos (or browse for them). 3. Convert, then download individually or as a ZIP. PRIVACY BY DESIGN SnapJPG collects no data. There are no analytics that transmit anything, no host permissions, and no content scripts. The (almost) empty permission set is verifiable by you and by reviewers — that's the whole point. Free to use. A future Pro upgrade will add PNG/WebP output, unlimited batch size, max-dimension resize, and EXIF/GPS controls.
