Choose what to watch before YouTube chooses for you. Impulsive visits redirect to your menu. Optional Android sync. WillWatch is a self-management tool for deliberate YouTube viewing. Instead of falling into recommendations, you: 1: Add videos to your watchlist (paste a video URL with no API key; keyword search prefers your BYOK Data API key, with optional Piped) 2: Declare what matters today (Highlight) 3: Watch only what you planned Keyword and playlist search prefer your free personal YouTube Data API key in Settings. Without a key, an optional disclosed Piped proxy may be tried; on failure we guide you to paste a URL or add a key. WillWatch does not scrape YouTube search page HTML. When you open youtube.com impulsively, WillWatch redirects you to your menu so you can choose intentionally. Redirects use Manifest V3 declarativeNetRequest based on your watchlist and settings. Optional cloud sync pairs your watchlist with the Android app via QR code (15-minute pairing window). Permissions match the extension manifest: tabs, storage, alarms, and declarativeNetRequest; YouTube URL access for redirects; Firestore access for the optional sync feature; and optional Piped API access only when keyword search uses that disclosed fallback. Current public release does not send Google Analytics events. No ad SDKs. No cross-app tracking. Data stays on-device by default; cloud sync is optional.
