Connects NovelAide Desktop to a user-controlled Chrome browser tool service. NovelAide is the official Chrome extension for NovelAide Desktop. With your permission, it can open websites in dedicated tabs, read page content, click, type, and scroll to help complete tasks you start in the desktop app. What can it help you do? • Open the websites needed for a task and read their content. • Click buttons, enter text, scroll, or take a screenshot when the task calls for it. • Pause and hand control back to you when you need to sign in or confirm something yourself. You stay in control Before each task starts using the browser, NovelAide Desktop explains what it needs to access and how the data will be used, then asks for your permission. The extension only controls tabs that NovelAide creates for the current task. It does not read your other open tabs, past browsing history, cookie data, or saved passwords, and it does not type into password fields. Task tabs appear together in a NovelAide tab group. Chrome also shows a debugging notice so you know the extension is operating those tabs. Click the extension icon in the toolbar to check the connection status and number of task tabs, or to close those tabs. You can disconnect in NovelAide Desktop at any time to stop browser actions. When a task ends, its tabs close automatically. How is your webpage data used? The extension first sends the webpage data needed for the task to NovelAide Desktop on this computer. If you choose cloud AI, page content and other data needed for the task may be sent through NovelAide to your chosen AI provider. This is explained before use and in the Privacy Policy. NovelAide does not sell browser data or use it for advertising. Before you install This extension requires NovelAide Desktop and cannot be used on its own. The desktop app currently available for public download supports macOS 14 and later. The extension is free to install. Cloud AI and other paid services in NovelAide Desktop are subject to your selected plan and available usage balance.
