Validates ICD-10 codes and auto-fills encounter details on NextGen Office claims, using your Clinic Billing Helper account. CBH NextGen Connector links NextGen Office to your Clinic Billing Helper (CBH) account to speed up claim entry and cut down on data-entry errors. When you have a claim open in NextGen, one click reads the claim and fills it in for you using your practice's rules and provider data in Clinic Billing Helper. WHAT IT DOES • Validates and cleans the ICD-10 diagnosis codes on the claim — removes invalid codes, replaces non-billable codes with the correct billable version, and tidies them into order. • Auto-fills the encounter details — the referring, rendering, supervising, pay-to, and billing provider fields, plus the fee schedule — based on the servicing provider, location, and insurance on the claim. • Shows exactly what changed, and gives you a single Undo to revert everything before you save. REQUIREMENTS • A Clinic Billing Helper account with access to the Billing & Coding or AR & Recovery workspace (accounts are created by an administrator). • A personal API key generated from Clinic Billing Helper (Settings → API Credentials). You paste this into the extension once. Keys are valid for 90 days. • Access to NextGen Office. The extension only works on a NextGen claim page. GETTING STARTED 1. In Clinic Billing Helper, go to Settings → API Credentials and generate a key. 2. Open the extension's settings, paste the key, click Test to confirm it works, then Save. 3. Open a claim in NextGen, click the extension, and choose "Read & Auto-fill Claim." SCOPE The extension assists with ICD-10 diagnosis codes and encounter information only. It does not enter or change CPT codes, modifiers, units, fees, charges, or any dollar amounts — always review the complete claim before saving. PRIVACY The extension reads only the specific claim fields it needs and never reads or sends the patient's name. The only information sent to Clinic Billing Helper is the provider, payer, location, and date of service. No patient-identifying information is stored.
