Protects tabs you're still working on. Auto-cleans the rest. Merges duplicates. TabKeeper keeps a sane tab bar. Pin the pages you are still working on. Idle tabs are closed and saved locally. Duplicates can be merged in one click. Pin a tab as active work and TabKeeper will not auto-archive it or close it as a duplicate. Chrome’s own pin is respected too. Idle tabs (default 45 minutes) go to a searchable archive you can restore later. The timer follows when you last switched to or focused a tab — page reloads and background refreshes do not reset it. The tab you are looking at, playing media, pinned tabs, and excluded domains are skipped. Close duplicates merges extra copies of the same URL. Those extras go to the archive instead of disappearing. Optional auto-close lives in Options. The archive stays one row per page. Restore focuses a tab that is already open instead of creating a second copy. Filter by search, domain, or age. Clear entries older than 7 days when the list gets long. Everything stays on your machine. No accounts, no sync servers, no analytics. Keyboard shortcut: Alt+P pins or unpins the current tab (change it at chrome://extensions/shortcuts).
