Save, manage, search, export, and analyze your YouTube watch metadata locally. YT History Collector helps you save, manage, search, export, and analyze metadata from YouTube videos and Shorts you watch. Your collected YouTube history stays in Chrome extension storage on your device. The extension does not upload your saved history, watch events, reports, backups, or imported Google Takeout files to the developer. Free features: - Automatically save metadata from YouTube watch and Shorts pages. - Review saved history with thumbnails, titles, channels, watch timestamps, durations, tags, descriptions, and other available metadata. - Search by title, channel, video ID, tags, hashtags, or description. - Filter regular videos and Shorts. - Delete individual items or clear all saved history. - Export history as JSON or CSV. - View local analytics including estimated watch time, daily trends, type breakdown, channel ranking, and keyword ranking. Optional Pro features: - Record measured watch sessions separately, including actual watch time, playback position, completion rate, and playback speed. - Compare viewing periods with advanced local analytics. - Create PDF and XLSX viewing reports. - Restore exported JSON backups and keep local restore points. - Import YouTube watch history from Google Takeout JSON or HTML files. - Use a one-time Pro purchase on up to three devices. Google Takeout import: - Files are processed locally and are not uploaded. - UTF-8 JSON or HTML files up to 50 MB are accepted. - Up to 100,000 records are validated for preview. - Local history retains up to 1,000 regular videos and 500 Shorts. - A Takeout entry is classified as a Short only when its URL or explicit metadata identifies it as a Short. Ambiguous entries are treated as regular videos. - Duplicate videos are merged locally. Pro licensing and payment: Pro purchase and license-management actions communicate with the YT History Collector license service. License requests can include a device-generated public key and fingerprint, random activation/device/license/pairing identifiers, extension version, Chrome UI locale, signed challenges and nonces, and signed entitlement tokens. The device private key and locally stored YouTube data are not transmitted. Payment is completed on Stripe-hosted Checkout. The extension does not receive or store complete payment card details. Notes: - The extension runs content scripts only on YouTube pages to handle YouTube single-page navigation and collect metadata from watch and Shorts pages. - Already-open YouTube tabs may need to be reloaded after installing or updating. - YT History Collector is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
