Blocks YouTube Shorts, YouTube, and any other site you add. No Brainrot blocks the sites that eat your time, starting with the worst offender: YouTube Shorts. What it does: Blocks YouTube Shorts. Opening any Short redirects you straight back to the homepage, and the Shorts shelf and sidebar tab are hidden from your feed. Blocks all of YouTube with one toggle, for when hiding Shorts isn't enough. Blocks any other site you add. Type a domain (tiktok.com, reddit.com, anything) and it's stopped before the page even loads. No flash of content, no loopholes through in-site navigation. Instead of a blocked site, you see a reminder that you set this up on purpose. Everything is controlled from a small popup: two toggles and a site list. Turn any block off whenever you choose. Your list syncs across your Chrome browsers if you're signed in. Privacy: No Brainrot collects nothing. No analytics, no accounts, no servers. Your block list is stored in Chrome's own sync storage and never leaves your browser. The broad site permission exists only so you can block any domain you choose. Built by one person who kept opening Shorts at 11pm and decided to stop.
